Cost of Elderly Health Care Salem Oregon OR

Written by author | Date: September 1, 2008 11:38 am | Permalink | Category: Doctors and nurses, Health Care

Reader’s Question:

Seems like our expenses are higher now than if we put my mother in an elderly health care program here in Salem, Oregon. We sometimes miss work to take care of her. If we do this, what covers the premium that we will be paying?

Michael

Salem, OR

The expenditures that are being incurred for elderly health care is increasing rapidly and reaching astronomical heights. Our old folks have several special needs when it comes to health care. We can be left frustrated if there will be gaps in insurance coverage. The sad reality is, medical care programs tender only minimal assistance for serious health disorders.

There are certain programs that cover our senior citizens in Salem, Oregon. It would cover hospital expenses and doctor visits and you may continue to work and all you need to do is to pay the premium every month. These health care programs are popular a vast number of senior citizens. But remember that you need to apply for this program before the elderly reaches the age of 65. In case your mother is already above 65 years old, you would have to pay a high premium. There is also an option of enrolling for these health care programs after retirement. The premium that you would have to pay depends on your income and which company you would be purchasing coverage from.

St Lukes Hospital Recommendation In Houston TX

Reader Input

I just wanted to follow up with the person who asked about St. Luke’s Hostpital in Houston TX I can’t find their post again.

My son was admitted to St. Lukes in Houston Texas 6 months ago with mouth cancer (too much snuff tobacco), they cut out the cancer cells and administered chemo, or something like it for a week….he has a chunck missing from his lower lip and jaw area, but the cancer is gone and he is alive today.

The staff and doctors at St. Lukes were awesome, I could not have asked for a better place to be at during this troubling time. My insurance paid for almost all of it, but by the looks of the place….I would not have been able to afford the care we were given had it not been for our insurance…the hospital is VERY nicely decorated and has the feel of a museum.

Just adding my two cents!

I Need A Good General Doctor For My Young Teenage Kids In Dallas

Written by admin | Date: August 18, 2008 4:00 pm | Permalink | Category: Doctors and nurses

Reader Question

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in the Dallas Fort Worth area for young teenage kids? I have an Aetna PPO plan from my work and would like to stay in the network if at all possible.

Cheryl

Dallas, TX

I used to take my kids to see Dr. William Snowden on Greenville Ave and Mockingbird, but it has been a few years since we have last seen him. I am sure you can find him in the phone book, my kids loved him and he was very resonable with his prescriptions and add on tests etc. etc.
